Graphite-Free Water-Based Forging Oil

Product information

EUROLUB FO 1060 W is a graphite-free, water-based hot forging oil. It exhibits lubricating properties even at very high temperatures. The product is applied by spraying onto the hot mold. After the water in it evaporates, it forms a homogeneous, white and thin film layer on the hot mold, and this film layer provides separation, elasticity, friction reduction and protection between the part and the mold. EUROLUB FO 1060-W, which can also be used as a mold release oil in all types of forging presses and hammer forging operations, is also a forging oil successfully used in drop hammers and extrusion presses. EUROLUB FO 1060-W is highly suitable for hot forging operations of iron, steel, stainless steel, aluminum and other non-ferrous metals. Since it contains no graphite, no residue forms on the surface and waste is very easily cleaned.

Advantages
  • —Can be used even at low concentrations (2%).
  • —Provides effective protection against corrosion during interim storage.
  • —Forms a film between the mold and the material, providing long mold life and a smooth surface.
  • —Provides a clean working environment. The machine and the machined part are not subjected to any subsequent cleaning process
